Lantau Buffalos Annual General Meeting
Feb. 19, 2011
16 Lantau Buffalos took part in the 2011 AGM. Below is a brief summary of the meeting:
- Lantau Buffalos was founded in March 2009. It now has 177 registered members;
- Charity: in 2010 we raised 5,000 HKD for a homeless shelter in Hong Kong;
- Races: so far we have organised three kids races, two more will be organised in 2011;
- Finances: LB has about 10,000 HKD in the bank;
- Revised Constitution was approved. Please check the new version of the Lantau Buffalos Constitution;
- 2011 Executive Committee - the following were elected:
* Chairperson: Siegfried Verheijke
* Vice-chairperson: Nora Senn
* Treasurer: Eduard Wehry
* Members: Anthony Pringle, Bruce Pye, Justin Choo, Kerry Hale, Lindsey Coen-Fernandez, Rebecca Kynaston
- Calves Duathlon on March 27: 67 sign-ups so far;
- Club Kit: official supplier will be Racing 9;
- Website: Lantau Buffalos is actively seeking someone to help clean up and organise the website!
- Membership fees: there will be no membership fees for the time being;
- Seabee Lane traffic bumps: installed so as to discourage cyclists from cycling along Seabee Lane, as most cyclists go faster than 30 kph, and this poses a real safety problem with kids playing in the street. Further information about this will follow;
- Access to outside: bike racks on the Tung Chung and Sunny Bay buses, and allowing bikes with the front wheel taken off are two suggestions that will be discussed with HKR in the coming months;
- Making DB more teenager-friendly: we will put up a poll soon to hear the opinion of our members;

• Venue: Seabee Lane 221
• Purpose: according to the constitution of the Lantau Buffalos the AGM serves to receive and consider the Chairperson's and the Treasurer's report, to elect all office holders and members of the Committee and to transact any other business of which due notice has been given. It is therefore rather important to be present.
• Quorum: fifteen Lantau Buffalos need to be present before the AGM can be held. So please sign up!
• Discussion: members present are free to voice their ideas and opinions about the matter at hand.
