- Practice River Gorge rock scrambling (watch out for flash floods though!)
- Coasteering - quick feet like a ballerina and keep your eyes forward to plan for path of least resistance. A common error is the straight line with lots of ups and downs over large rocks. This will waste your energy.
- Kayaking. Practice makes perfect. You will need to develop muscular endurance in your upper body. Keep a high paddle frequency and stay in sync with your partner.
- Go trail running across Hong Kong Island, Lantau and Kowloon. Pickup a Hiking book of Hong Kong to find great trails.
- Go mountain biking at Chi Ma Wan trail that starts in Muiwo. Jackie at Friendly Bike Shop sells a good map for this.
